For visitors

You stay in control of the character.

Learn what a Peekling can observe, how its browser runtime handles data, and how to let the character rest.

01 · AVAILABLE TODAY

The browser runtime includes visitor controls.

A website can add a Peekling as a small animated presence. The character can react to supported browser activity and to facts reported by the host application. Pointer-transparent rendering keeps the page fully usable, and the shared rest menu keeps visibility in your hands.

Peek is the first Peekling. A Peekling is a data-only animated character whose visible behavior comes from a declared Plan.

02 · WHAT IT CAN DO

The website chooses a fixed behavior Plan.

That Plan can respond to supported browser input such as pointer movement, clicks, scrolling, focus, or page visibility. The website can also report a named application Event, such as a completed save or finished job.

The character Pack supplies validated artwork, animation States, and movement capabilities as data. The Plan chooses from that declared set, and the browser runtime performs the response.

03 · DATA AND PRIVACY

The Peekling runtime is telemetry-free.

It runs locally in the browser, independent of a Peekling account or backend. Its visibility preference stays in local or session storage on the current site and contains the hidden state plus an optional expiry.

The host website may operate its own accounts, services, analytics, and privacy practices. Its privacy policy explains how the site handles those systems.

04 · LET IT REST

Hide every Peekling on the site from one menu.

Hold in the bottom-right corner for about one second to reveal the rest menu. The invisible corner zone observes pointer coordinates and remains pointer-transparent, so the page keeps every click.

  • Rest for 10 minutes.
  • Rest for 1 hour.
  • Rest until the next local day.
  • Rest until the browsing session ends.
  • Rest forever on that site.

A keyboard control opens the same menu. The site should also provide a normal "Show again" action in its settings or documentation.

05 · WHAT HIDING CHANGES

Hiding pauses the character while the website continues.

The runtime suspends character input and animation work while hidden. The website keeps ownership of its instance and product state. Showing the character again resumes that same instance when it still exists.

The preference is local to the current site and works independently of an account, network request, or cookie. A storage read failure leaves Peekling visible, ready for another choice.

06 · MOTION AND ACCESS

Normal page controls keep their full behavior.

  • The character is pointer-transparent, so keyboard focus moves through the page's interactive controls.
  • Reduced motion replaces animation with one stable frame.
  • Native scrolling, zoom, selection, and context menus remain available.
  • Visibility and selected states use text together with visual styling.
