The Peekling Vocabulary

The Peektionary.

The official words for Peeklings, what people make with them, and the quiet little world that grows around them.

01 · Foundations

Where the world begins.

Peek

noun · character

Peek is the first Peekling: a curious little companion who follows along quietly and brings personality to the places they visit.

Peek is not a pet, assistant, mascot, or AI by definition. Peek is simply a Peekling, a character with curiosity and presence.

To peek is to be curious without intruding.

Peekling

Peeklings

noun · plural

The collective name for Peekling characters. Each can have its own appearance, personality, behavior, and way of moving through the world.

Peek is the first Peekling. There will be others.

02 · Creation

Putting a little life somewhere.

Peeklify

Peekworld

noun · world

The broader ecosystem in which Peeklings exist: its characters, creations, places, experiences, and people.

Peekworld names the product and community world. Peekling Universe remains the philosophical and brand-language term.

Peekscape

noun · environment

Peekworld is the larger world. Peekscape is one particular place within it.

04 · Platform

The words with technical weight.

Peekling Pack

noun · asset collection

A data-only collection of assets and validated metadata used by a Peekling. In v0.1, the browser runtime accepts raster animation atlases and their manifest-defined states, timing, capabilities, resources, and provenance.

Peekpack is the informal short name.

Peekling Skill

noun · capability workflow

A portable, documented workflow that helps a capable agent or person create, integrate, validate, or work with Peekling resources. Skills do not grant runtime permissions to a pack.

Peekling Contract

noun · technical agreement

A formal definition of capabilities, permissions, interactions, resources, boundaries, and expected behavior within an environment.

A contract should make it possible to answer: what can this Peekling do, what can it access, and what is it allowed to do?

Peekling-ready

adjective · technical

Describes a website, application, environment, or system that satisfies a defined Peekling compatibility check.

The term is a verifiable product state, not a marketing claim. A future diagnostic command may check runtime availability, required APIs, configuration, assets, and permissions before reporting an environment as Peekling-ready.
